About Commodore Leather
My name is Seth Brenton, I'm the owner/operator of Commodore Leather Supply. I'm relatively new to leathercraft. I started down this path in August of 2020 when the country was in full lockdown due to COVID.
The shop is named after my Great, Great Grandfather - Commodore Brenton. Each one of my products is given a family member's name to keep those ties. The reasons I named my shop and products after my ancestors are two-fold.
One, the products I make are made with quality materials and craftsmanship. These aren't items that will wear out and need to be thrown away. They are heirloom items. My products are things that I wanted buyers to hand down to their future grandkids.
Two, I come from a long line of men that worked with their hands. Soldiers, laborers, sawmill operators, farmers, and construction. I want to honor that legacy by working with my hands as well. There is nothing more satisfying than looking at a product made with your own hands.
Everything is made exclusively by me at my workshop in Raleigh, North Carolina. Items are hand-cut, hand-stitched, and hand-finished. My slogan is - Handmade. Always.
In addition to the ready-to-ship items, I'm open to custom orders! If you have an idea then get a hold of me and we can work it out.
